Tua vs Ahunanya in March

David Tua (50-3-1, 43 KO) is scheduled to face Friday Ahunanya (24-5-3, 13 KO) in March. The fight between two great heavyweights will take place in New Zealand.

Many boxing fans are waiting for David Tua to step into the ring to give a tremendous fight. David Tua is still a dangerous fighting machine. He is a major pain for Friday Ahunanya.

I respect Tua’s decision in fighting Ahunanya. I think the reason why Tua is fighting Ahunanya is because of money. No doubt Tua will surely get the higher percentage of the cut. Maybe he could fight Cris Arreola after Ahunanya and that would be a great fight.

Tua is confident that he can crash Ahunanya next year. "I want to destroy Friday. I want it to be destructive. It has to be because I need people in the States to hear some noise from Down Under," Tua said.

Ahunanya believes that he can defeat Tua by Knockout or points.


"I’m coming to New Zealand to win. I’m going to knock David Tua out. And if I can’t do that I’ll win the fight on points. Anyone who understands how to box – understands the science of boxing – can beat David Tua. And I’ll prove it," Ahunanya said.

Ahunanya defeated Shane Cameron in November 2007 and Alonzo Butler in June 2008.

David Tua is the best there is in the boxing game today. I am sure that he will win against Friday, and go on to be the champion of the heavy weight division. Tua will definitely knock Friday back to Thursday, and after he will wake him up on Saturday.
