Pacquiao tired of accusations

Dec. 25, 2009 | by Dominic L. Hernandez

The pound for pound king Manny Pacquiao plans to file a lawsuit against Mayweather Sr., Mayweather Jr. and the Golden Boy Promotions because of serious allegations. Manny Pacquiao was accused of using performance enhancing drugs.

It was a bad sign for the potential Pacquiao-Mayweather megafight in 2010 which was tentatively scheduled in March 13 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, the bout is still in jeopardy.

"Enough is enough. These people, Mayweather Sr., Jr., and Golden Boy Promotions, think it is a joke and a right to accuse someone wrongly of using steroids or other performance-enhancing drugs," said Pacquiao.

"I have instructed my promoter, Bob Arum, head of Top Rank Inc., to help me out in the filing of the case as soon as possible because I have had people coming over to me now asking if I really take performance-enhancing drugs and I have cheated my way into becoming the No. 1 boxer in the world," said Pacquiao.

Pacquiao denied the accusations against him. I believe that Pacquiao isn’t avoiding drug testings but the real subject here is he just doesn’t want that blood testing so close to the fight. In fact, they can have blood testing right after the fight.

"I maintain and assure everyone that I have not used any form or kind of steroids and that my way to the top is a result of hard work, hard work, hard work and a lot of blood spilled from my past battles in the ring, not outside of it. I have no idea what steroids look like, and my fear in God has kept me safe and victorious through all these years." said Pacquiao.

All the issues may affect Manny Pacquiao’s reputation as a professional boxer but I believe that Pacquiao is clean and has nothing to hide. He’s one of the most favorite boxers in our time. You know the difference between a fighter and a coward, right?

What's wrong with having blood tests immediately after the fight? There you can see if Pacman did something, but clearly he won't see anything but just blood! Mayweather is just a coward. Why don't he just fight Pacman anyway? Is he afraid? Does he made this excuse to evade the fight against pacman? Geez..

Nori & nameunknown, obviously neither one of you are true boxing fan. Neither one of you have red all the news surronding the fight as well. Bob Arum, & Pacquiao's camp have constantly put out false accusations concerning negotiations. The question is, what is Pacman afraid of. Now I understand why people may not like Floyd Mayweather because he's so cocky, and he talks alot. But the truth is, Mayweather is the most skillful boxer of our time. Pacquiao, which I don't want to take anything away from his accomplishments is highly overrated. He is one of the best of our time, but to put above Mayweather is absolutely crazy. I can except them both being on the same level though. It's obvious to me, and many other TRUE BOXING FANS that it doesn't make any since for Pacquiao to have such a big problem with taking a blood test 24-14 days prior to the fight in March. Rather or not Pacquiao giving blood weakens him or not. 14 days is more than enough time to recuperate. 24hrs. is plenty of time. Lets be real, if Pacquiao, and his people believe he can be victorious in the fight with Mayweather then there is absolutely no reason at all why he shouldn't obide by the random testing. Both fighters have to obide by the test. All other negotiations have been agreed upon both sides. No all your facts before you make statements, cause you both sound stupid, and it's obvious by you both being Pacquiao fans, which is cool, but you both are judgements from personal feelings. Trust me Mayweather would destroy Pacquiao if and when they fight.
