Future step for Ricky Hatton

The Hitman Ricky Hatton will announce in February whether he has plans to come back to boxing. I think the out-of-shape Ricky Hatton needs hard tune-up if he plans to return to the ring next year.

British fans love to see Hatton fight again. The Hitman’s career was in silence after suffering a devastating loss to Manny Pacquiao who will fight Floyd Mayweather Jnr on March 13 for one of the biggest fights in history of boxing.

After the victory of Amir Khan over Dmitriy Salita by a 76-second brutal defeat, fans want a Hatton-Khan bout but Hatton said that Amir Khan is not on his radar at the moment. By looking at all angles, Amir Khan will be a big problem for Hatton. The new Amir Khan displayed quickness and power during his WBA light-welterweight title defense against Salita.

Prior to Khan-Salita bout, Khan said that he wanted to face Marquez to make his U.S debut. "He [Marquez] is made for my style," "And if I beat him people will start knowing who Amir Khan is in the United States. It'd be tough for Ricky Hatton to come straight back to fight Marquez, but god luck to him." Khan said.

After the bout, "A lot of people want to see the Ricky Hatton fight. We're good friends. I think there's a possibility for that fight to happen. In boxing nowadays any fight is possible." Khan said.

Whether Ricky Hatton comes back or not, the Hitman already made his legacy as one of the great boxers of our time.
