Dying wish to Pacquiao

Sep. 26, 2009 | by Flaco Quique

Pacquiao is on a mission not only for his seventh title on seven division but to grant a request of his former manager Rod Nazario. Nazario passed away a few days ago. Pacquiao was unhappy for what had happen. He feels so weak after his godfather Nazario's death. It's like a true father and son relationship, that's what Nazario and Pacquiao has that very close personal relationship. Before Nazario's death, he had a personal request to Pacquiao to knockout the Champion Miguel Cotto in the ring. He dedicated this upcoming showdown on Nov 14th to Nazario.

Manny Pacquiao's training camp is now on its second week. He is ready for the sparring sessions. His sparring partners are the undefeated middle weight Shawn Porter and the Mexican Warrior Urbano Antillon. His training camp was scheduled for full 8 weeks, four to five weeks in Baguio City Philippines and they continue the remaining week at Wild Card Gym in Los Angeles California .

Pacquiao is now more stronger than ever. He is now on a mission not only to win, but knock out Miguel Cotto as well. Pacquiao's determination is truly his secret weapon. So expect the Nov 14th match to be a bloody war and potentially become the fight of the year. Miguel Cotto is now maintaining and sharpening his blade. Of course he's on shape.

I know it's too early to make predictions but I know that Manny Pacquiao will destroy Cotto. His speed will be the key to his success. The kind of speed that being used to overwhelm great fighters like Barrera, Morales, Marquez, Dela Hoya and Ricky Hatton. That's the speed of light!

R.I.P. Mr. Nazario

Go Pac-man. Pacquiao will destroy Cotto. RIP Mr. Rod Nazario
and the winner is COTTO says:
Cotto going to beat the pacman down and KO him in the 9th.
former no believer says:
at first i said pacman is overhyped but 2 times i watch the fight live for 1500 dollars man you won't pacman punches and on hatton fight, you will hear the punches from gloves of pacman hitting... i go for pacman for speed and power not to mention agility.. pacman will k.o. cotto mark my words..
Cotto is Lisa says:
Cotto will be reduced to lice come nov14. You say Cotto is great? Well, lets see him take a great ass whooping courtesy of pac
mariathetz says:
Pacquiao knock him out 7 rounds

With Porter, Manny must have an idea of Cotto's power. That's good, since it allows him to train better itself and to be more careful in the Ring. The point with that I'm not in agreement is with Roach saying that Manny will K.O. MC. Roach is such an inteligent trainer and I think he said that to give confidence to Manny and to play with the disturbed-post-Margarito-mind of MC, but I don't know. MC can be dangerous and people is sleeping on it.
ferpecto says:
Manny is faster and has better stamina than MC, but MC is stronger and has an excellent timing. Timing can neutralize speed. A factor that people do not analyze much is when the boxers grab. Manny must avoid all the grabs unless it needs to do it. Usually, the smaller boxer loses more stamina in the grabs.

On the catch weight, I remembered that for the Clottey fight, Cotto weight in at 146 lbs and was like 154 lbs just before the fight. So weigh in at 145 and be like what? 152-153 lbs before the fight? Cotto will looks huge against Pac! Maybe this is even good for Cotto. He can't fight a guy like Pac-Man weighting to much; Manny is so quick. But Pac is going to feel a real welter power now. Late KO by Cotto!
jomaniacz says:
pacman - overhype? ok, send floyd & cotto to the ring with paul williams... small guys fight the bigger guys :)
ssshhhhh says:
yeah..his speed rules!!!
John Mandingo says:
I remember everyone discrediting all his accomplishments his whole career. And now that he finally proved to everyone he is a true P4P, he is now a "overhype." But let's stay in subject. In Cotto's last fight with Clottey, CompuBox numbers show Clottey landing 168 power shots, 41 percent of the 413 he threw. That’s a lot of punishment to take from someone who is not nearly as fast as Pacquiao. If Cotto brings that kind of defense into the ring against Pacquiao, it will be a short night.

nazareno first and pacquiao is second
Auto says:
You guys seem to forget that Cotto fought Mosley who is also a very fast fighter and, bigger and stronger than Pacman. Don't count him out too quickly for if he beats Pacman then many of you posting here will look very foolish.
no balls says:
Lose or win with pacman at least he is a warior he is not afraid to fight bigger opponent and best fighter. not like P4p queen no balls to fight the best in his division. he is ducking cotto, mosley and margarito.
crusher says:
i think pacman will win he has the heart and determination that can surpass those bigger guys. MC will reach at the count of 10.
