Pacquiao's training camp was already a "closed-door" to prevent distraction from media and fans. It is a good sign for Pacquiao's chances to win his upcoming showdown to the world champion Miguel Cotto. Shape-Up Gym Baguio City in Philippines is the place for his training. The training camp was scheduled for a full eight weeks. Four to five weeks in the Philippines and the remaining will be in the Wild Card Gym at Los Angeles California. Manny Pacquiao's training camp was led by his trainer Freddie Roach (Trainer of the Year ) and also assisted by Buboy Fernandez.
The closed-door training camp is always implemented since Pacquiao lost to future hall of famer Eric Morales. But according to Mike Koncz a Canadian adviser of Pacquiao the training camp's door will be open on Thursday for the media. As reported, his promoter Bob arum is scheduled to visit Pacquiao's training camp in Baguio City.
Pacquiao has eight-week training camp while Miquel Cotto has a full 13 week training. It this enough for Pacquiao? According to the team Pacquiao, Freddie Roach wants a ten-week but Pacquiao said that only eight weeks are already enough. Maybe Pacquiao is confident to win. Somehow the difference in span of training is not a new issue to him since 2005. They said that he is always lack of training. But the fact is, he always wins and shows improvement. Pacquiao is always prepared to do his job. Pacquiao is unstoppable when the training camp was started. Actually Roach have a big problem to slow him down during the training.
Miguel Cotto is very focused in this fight. I think he will show us a lot of surprises on Nov 14. I think Pac-man will take the victory in round 8 that will lead him to the blockbuster showdown with Mayweather next year.
