Bernard Hopkins defeats Enrique Ornelas

Bernard Hopkins defeated Enrique Ornelas by a 12 round unanimous decision at the Liacouras Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

The final judges scorecards: 118-110,120-109 and 119-109.

Hopkins gave credit to Enrique Ornelas after the fight. "I’d like to give Ornelas a lot of credit, he didn’t come to lay down. He hung in there, he took some great shots. I took some great shots. I think for 44 years old, my energy level was fantastic." Hopkins said.

Bernard Hopkins has no plans to retire. In fact, he is looking forward to face Roy Jones Jr for a rematch in early 2010. Hopkins also wants the WBA heavyweight title of David Haye, "I'm now going to be heavyweight champion in 2010," Hopkins said.
